Hello, everyone! To say I LOVE CROSBY is an understatement. I hope my love for this campus, district, and community shines through in all that I do. I am proud to be able to say: I am the Associate Principal of Crosby Middle School, a resident of this outstanding community, and the parent of two Crosby ISD scholars. My teaching career began in 2005 in Galena Park ISD, where I had been a student myself, showcasing my commitment to serving my community. During my time there I was named Teacher of the Year. We moved to Crosby in 2010, where we began raising our children and started them from kindergarten in CISD. In 2016 I joined Crosby Middle School as a teacher, and truly had the time of my life professionally. At CMS, I also earned Teacher of the Year. In 2021, I became an Assistant Principal at Crosby High School. In the summer of 2024, I was promoted as the Associate Principal of Crosby Middle School. My background is strong in special populations (ESL, SPED, 504). I am passionate about instruction, discipline, and culture, and I believe that all 3 must coexist in order to be successful and effective. Partnering and collaborating with the families of students here at CMS is essential, and I look forward to working together to ensure students are successful and flourishing. Serving this campus is a privilege that I am honored to live out each day!

Hello, my name is Javian Taylor, and I am excited about starting my second year with the Crosby Middle School administrative team. I received my Bachelors in Business Administration and a Master's in Business Administration from Sam Houston State University (Eat 'em up Kats). I received my Principal Certification from Lamar University after 12 years of teaching high school science. The last two years, I had the opportunity to serve as student support administrator at Goose Creek CISD. I believe students learn best when they have positive relationships and connections to the campus, which helps them to grow and stretch their brains. Every student has a new opportunity every day and I want to make sure they have the tools they need to be successful lifelong learners. I look forward to serving the Crosby community. May the Force be with you.

Hello Cougar family!! My name is Kyle Leonard and I am super excited to be joining the team at CMS!! I’ve spent the first part of my educational journey at Pasadena ISD. While there I wore many hats including a 7th and 8th grade teacher, department chair, PL instructional coach (where I coached all subjects) and an RLA/SS instructional coach. In my free time you will find me relaxing with my wife and our 1 and 3 yo, jamming on a guitar or looking for someone to give me a challenge on the pool table. I know we are going to have a great year and I look forward to meeting and getting to know everyone!!

Hello, I am Ms. Laura Haynes, Principal of the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP), with 23 years in education. Before joining Crosby High School, I spent 12 years teaching English and Math at Huffman ISD, where I also took on coaching duties. I am from Carthage, Texas, where I also graduated from. Following high school, I enlisted in the United States Army and served for 10 years. My military service instilled in me a strong sense of discipline and leadership, qualities that I bring to my educational career. After my military service, I pursued higher education, earning my Bachelor's degree from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. I further advanced my education by obtaining a Master's degree in Education Administration from Lamar University. I am grateful for being part of the Crosby Independent School District (ISD). I appreciate the wonderful and supportive community that surrounds Crosby ISD, and I am dedicated to contributing positively to the lives of the students and the broader community.
